07.24.10 ~ Weddings ~ posted by Millie

Amy & Daniel's wedding was held at Grace United Methodist Church in downtown Wilmington, NC. However, I started the day off by meeting the girls at Bangz Hair Salon. Amy's bridesmaids were just fabulous so when I arrived there was lots of fun chatter, helping one another, making sure Amy was well taken care of and plenty of excitement!

Daniel's brother is helping him get his tie just right in this shot...

When Amy's father saw her for the first time it was an incredibly emotional moment for the entire family. Get a peek of Amy's mom and sister on the right hand side!

and even Amy was moved to tears...

A quick walk through the basement to get to the front of the church right before Amy walked down the aisle!

Grace really is a BEAUTIFUL place to get married and the rule is you have to stay planted in the balcony for photography!

After the ceremony, it was off to Surf Club in Wrightsville Beach where we took a quick walk on the beach for some images with the bridal party...

I LOVED all of the little touched by Salt Harbor like the decals on the doors, streamers for the guests to wave on their exit, State and UNC! The Surf Club always has amazing food to serve as well!

Once again... I always love spotting the emotion from parents and family!

Right before sunset I snuck away with Amy & Daniel onto the beach. A huge thanks to Angela who shot this wedding with me all the way from Canada and ran in to get the bread so we could attract some seagulls... totally worth it!

LOVE!

Daniel is a dentist so the candy bar was complete with a bowl of toothbrushes and a little sign reminding guests to "brush their teeth".

This group was great and they partied well into the night... loved them! Lots of laughter and goofing off!

and a pedi-cab to wrap up the night...

I love that they tied old shoes to the back of the pedi cab... so cute!

Amy & Daniel - what a terrific night! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day... I pray you have many more years of laughter, love and dancing!

Brent, Amanda, and I just got back from a trip to New York City, and we had blast! We stayed in the Hudson Hotel just off of Central Park. 07.17.10 ~ Kids & Family ~ posted by Millie

Alicia and Stephen are such a sweet couple. They found me through friends who we've photographed many times and I'm glad they did. Their first child is due very soon and rumor has it I'll be meeting them again when the little one arrives for another photo session. We met in Downtown Wilmington where I explained to Alicia & Stephen that I like to just walk around and see what "pops out at me" so that exactly what we did. For our first shot we lucked out and found the perfect little bike parked in an alley!

How beautiful are they together?! I know they are bound to have one adorable baby!

I think Stephen might think I was nuts when I was explaining this shot but maybe he'll think differently now! I like it!

A little fun looking around for a number that is their due date... we finally found it!

How stinking adorable is this little restaurant? When it cools off a little outside, I'm going back here to grab lunch!

Stephen & Alicia! Thanks so much for a fun session... I'm excited to meet you again when your little one arrives!

07.08.10 ~ TruthBooth ~ posted by Millie, Brent & Amanda

For this wedding we had to bring in a few extra props and with that said, MAJOR props to Salt Harbor who had the vision for making this TruthBooth the most unique ever to really tie in the theme of the wedding. Welcome our "Clue" themed TruthBooth a "once in a lifetime made especially for Mandy & Drew" photo booth. What a night! I (Millie) actually ran this booth since it was a new venture for us while Brent & Amanda captured the wedding. It was loads of fun!

The booth was full of weapons and other "Clue" inspired props where guests could goof off, seek revenge, pull off their own murder mystery, and even just enjoy a little company!
