There is just something incredibly classic about the way that Sara makes everyone around her feel completely at home. Whether you are her best friend or a complete stranger, you get the feeling that she really cares. So needless to say, I adore her. So when she asked me about doing bridal portraits, I was so excited to do them! Since the wedding day has come and gone and the dress is no longer a secret from Emmett, I can show you a bit of what we captured that day.

Sara is a classic beauty - and this image turned out just as classic as I had hoped.

After shooting inside for a while, we headed outdoors, for some more natural light. I was loving this pergola area we found - the light was so perfect!

I love this shot - the lines from the pergola and Sara's expression make it a favorite.

Isn't her dress stunning? I just love the huge bow!!

I love her mantilla veil. It's so classic, and yet so different from what we normally see. I love it when brides are willing to go just a little outside the norm to find something they truly love and that really fits their personality.

Sara, you are absolutely beautiful! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!

My friends Matt and Noelle have been married for a while now, but never got engagement pictures done. They really wanted some images that really captured their relationship with each other at this point in their life together, and I couldn't agree more! The first few years of marriage, when you're just starting out, are completely irreplaceable. Whether it's a great first year or a year of trials, through which you grow closer together, you just cannot get this time back. So we decided to go out and capture some images of the two of them for them to remember this time in their lives.
We decided to go outside of my normal shooting area, and we discovered some amazing locations!!!! It had threatened to rain all day, and we contemplated canceling the shoot, but decided to chance it anyway. I am SO glad we did! The rain held off, and we had some amazing clouds to work with!
Noelle and Matt are such a sweet couple! They read on my bio page that I love chocolate and diet coke, so they brought me some when we met for their shoot! Isn't that awesome of them?!?
You can tell from the way they interact that they are so in love - i love that! |

Matt grew up in Kansas, so he really wanted to find a wheat field to get some pictures in... he actually scoped this out one day before we shot and suggested it - nice work, don't you think?

I LOVE this one - they are so deep in conversation with each other that they forgot I was there. Sometimes that just makes for the best, most natural photos.

A quiet moment together, watching the storm clouds roll by.

Not only was there an amazing wheat field, but right beside it, there was this tree covered in kudzu. I just couldn't pass it up!

I'm so jealous of Noelle's hair - curly, blonde, and perfect! I think she is so beautiful!

One of my favorite things about my clients is that most of the time they will do anything I ask! Noelle and Matt were all about laying down in this field of kudzu all for the sake of a good photo. I couldn't ask for better than that!

This could be my favorite - I love how they are looking at each other! You can just see the love there.

After we finished up at the wheat field, we headed to an abandoned gas station that we had spotted on the way out there. People were driving by and honking, but Noelle and Matt handled it like pros! I think they were just honking in approval, don't you?

Our next stop: a roadside vineyard. I learned something new this day - apparently if you've been around roses, you shouldn't go into a vineyard. We hadn't, but the guy who owned this vineyard told us that roses carry a disease that can kill the grapes... whoops!
But I just adore these photos - the clouds, the lines... |

Matt and Noelle, you two are just amazing! I am so glad to have had the chance to shoot some belated engagement photos for you!

Rachel has been with MHP for over a year now, she is one of our photographers, and we found out she had no photos of her and her husband, Andrew! Even more embarrassing, she had no photos of the two of them professionally taken at all, EVER! Shameful, we know, so we made a promise to Rachel that our whole team would take the two of them out on the town and rock a session out for them while we were in Charlotte for the bridal show, so we did just that!
I know what all of you are probably wondering now... "no professional photos and she is a photographer... WHAT?" I said the same thing when I first heard, "not even wedding photos?" NOPE! They eloped and they do have ONE less than amazing shot to show that someone took along the way (but we are not counting it) so here it is... a fun session starring the lovebirds and their first professional photos of just them... enjoy! |

Sorry Rachel... I had to add this one... it's just you!
