Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? Come on in and look around.

We want you to get the most out of your time here, so here are a few helpful tips: Check out the text block above that says: “photographers”. Use it to get to know just one photographer better by sorting just their images, twitter updates or bio. Wondering who shot what? Look for the signature on the bottom left of each photograph. brody + philip . day after

One of the many reasons I love my clients is because they trust me completely! Brody and Philip were up for anything I asked them to do, and even had some great ideas of their own. And Philip absolutely LOVES to have his photo taken, which is not always common for guys. You can't ask for any more than that!

After they returned from NOLA and had a few days of wedded bliss back in NC, Brody and Philip put their wedding garb back on one more time for a fun "day-after" shoot! I LOVE doing these! There is no more pressure from the wedding, everyone is relaxed, and the couple can just enjoy each other and get some really fun images!

Then we tried out a new location, which is now my absolute favorite place to shoot! Sorry, I'm not telling you where it is... but the light is amazing! Brody and Philip were such troopers - I had no idea how steep this hill was until I walked up closer to them for the next shot.

I love how she is pulling him in for a kiss with her scarf....

I'm loving the angles here!

This is one of my favorite shots from the whole day - the light was so nice and the flare... woah!

Brody's eyes are absolutely stunning... and this shot just look so peaceful to me.

Her purple hairpiece and scarf made for just the perfect pop of color!

This is another one of my favorites...

They are such a cute couple!

i love the interaction in this one...

One last stop in the tunnel where I went to school at NCSU - there's never any shortage of color and action there! I love that the people walking by didn't even turn around to see what was going on.

Again with the stunning eyes!

I just love that orange with the purple Brody is wearing! So fun!

My friends Brody and Philip got married in New Orleans a few weeks ago, so my husband, Joel, and I went down there to capture their big day! We started out the day with the boys and a local cigar shop, where they roll cigars right in front of you! It was a really cool place, and the guys all enjoyed a cigar to begin their day. I loved this carving - so much character and it really kind of captured the feel of the shop.

Brody's brother, Sawyer, was one of Philip's groomsmen - he was loving the cigar shop too!

Philip, the groom, with all his boys enjoying a moment along the Mississippi.

If you recognize Philip, you're not crazy. He is an actor and has been in a couple of movies!

These guys were so much fun to shoot - they all LOVE having their photos taken, and were just eating up their time in front of the camera!

After we finished up with the boys, I headed over to the girls' hotel to see Brody getting ready! I just love shots of getting the dress on - it's always a little bit of a challenge, but somehow it always works!

I loved Brody's dress! It was perfect for a New Orleans wedding, and her purple hairpiece just tied everything in! We headed up to the roof of the hotel for a few shots...

... and then went walking around the French Quarter until we found this amazing little courtyard garden!

The ceremony was beautiful! I don't think I have ever seen that many people crying at a wedding before. I loved Philip's reaction to Brody walking down the aisle.

Philip's brother, Nathan, wrote the couple a song just for the big day. He had a hard time getting started through his tears of joy, but the song ended up beautifully!

I love this scene of Philip wiping away Brody's tears as he read his vows...

The reception was beautiful - everything was purple and green and gold (the colors of Mardi Gras!)

Brody and her best friend, Michayla, put all of this together themselves! They even did their own flower arrangements!

Brody and Philip choreographed their first dance themselves, and I just loved this moment at the end!

Of all the weddings I've ever been to, I've never seen anyone else use poppers with streamers for their exit! I love the effect!
