Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? The holiday deadlines are quickly approaching. Christmas will be here before we know it!
If you have not yet proofed/ordered your wedding album, it may be too late to get it for Christmas. Our album company is slammed with orders and they are no longer making time commitments for pre-Christmas delivery. This means to have even the slightest hope of receiving your album before Christmas we need to hear from you... yesterday.
Coffee Table books must be proofed and ordered by November 10th to ensure delivery before Christmas.
All prints on photographic paper, greeting cards and canvas must be ordered by Dec 3rd. Last minute orders cannot be guaranteed for delivery before Christmas. Rush fees will be applied to orders placed after Dec 3rd and could make our life that much more hectic. (as we will most likely be rushing around in the madness of trying to get the orders which were placed on time packaged and delivered.)
Please don't order late.... get your orders together now!

I spent this past weekend with Shannon and Rich in St Louis, MO. I flew in on Friday to photograph their engagement session. I have been privileged to meet and spend time with both of their families. They are all great fun. I could not have had a better time in St Louis, they wined and dined me and treated me like a queen. On Saturday we headed out to their favorite place, Mount Pleasant Winery, for their e-session.
Are you ready for this? I can't wait to shoot Shannon & Rich's wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico next May.... not only is the wedding going to be fabulous, I am also fulfilling one of my major life goals by shooting their wedding. Check out goal #27.

Last weekend I was in Doyelstown, PA. This weekend I am in St Loius, MO. I realized that I had not posted about my impression of Doyelstown yet and there were some images as well as some little things I wanted to point out about how cute Doyelstown was.
Below are some shots I took of and around Maggies place to represent the small town life there... everything is so adorable. They use words like burrow, township and village to described their quaint neighborhoods. The mailman walks the neighborhood each day with his little mail bag and brings the letters right up to their door like something straight out of the movies. Going to Doyelstown was like going back in time a bit to a more calm, relaxed atmosphere with small town love and best of all the leaves were starting to turn so I got a taste of fall! |

Mike & Lou have a beautiful beachfront home on Topsail Island. Their kids (and brand new grandaughter, Julia) were in town visiting a few weeks ago so they scheduled a family portrait session. What a sweet family! I pulled up just in time for a beautiful sunset and with the sun dropping so fast these days we had to hurry to get the perfect light. Take a peak at the images below and consider calling to book a session while your family and friends are in town during the holiday season.

Many of my regular blog readers are familiar with the story I have been documenting on Dana's journey with Severe Aplastic Anemia. Well just last week Lumina News contacted us, they were interested in covering the story. Early this week Joshua Curry (Staff Photographer for Lumina News) and Jennifer Roush (Managing Editor) dropped by the studio for interviews, photos and fun! Josh and I got involved in a bit of a shoot out when I pulled my camera out for a blog shot... which resulted in the below photos. (I have a call in to Josh to see if I can get a few of the shots he captured to show all of you, here on the blog.)
I love that they came out to photograph me working on Dana's images and chatting with her. Those images will make a great collection for my personal journals to remember this project. If you are a Wilmington local be sure to pick up this week's copy of Lumina News for yourself and ready the story.
I will be photographing the Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Registry Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church on November 10th from 8:30a - 1:30p. Come out and say hello! I will most likely be there from 11-12(noon).
