Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? Meredith and Shawn are both graduates of UNC, so, naturally, we headed over to Carolina's campus for their engagement shoot! As an NC State graduate, I had to swallow my pride a bit to step on campus, but I will admit that UNC's campus really is beautiful, and Shawn and Meredith were full of little tidbits of trivia about the town and the school.
They are getting married in the Florida Keys in April. After all this snow and rain and cold weather, I don't think that they could have picked a better place for their big day!
Since Shawn was a football player in his college days, our first stop was the football stadium. The corners of the stadium there have these great blue chairs, and we took advantage of them! |

| Shawn proposed at the Belltower, so of course, we had to head there next! It was a gorgeous day - sunny and blue skies after a week of nothing but snow and rain. We couldn't have asked for better! |

| The old well - a really famous landmark on campus. This is where Shawn originally planned to propose, but the day he popped the question there were a bunch of tourists who wouldn't vacate the area, so plans changed and she said "yes" at the belltower instead. |

Meredith and Andy were married in Fayetteville, NC on a chilly Saturday evening. Brent and I headed over to Meredith's parents' home where she was getting ready with her wonderful bridesmaids. Meredith was keeping herself busy while getting ready, and I could tell from the smile on her face that she was excited that her day had finally arrived.
While I stayed to hang out with the Meredith and her ladies, Brent headed to the church to meet up with Andy and his guys. Andy was all smiles as he and his groomsmen prepared for the ceremony that was quickly approaching. The girls toasted to a wonderful day and the guys cheered on Andy and Meredith for reaching this next step in their relationship. I love it when a couple has such a strong support system from family and friends (I know I was thankful for it when Brent and I were married)!
The entire day was wonderful and filled with best wishes, love and an overwhelming sense of commitment. When Meredith and Andy shared their vows to one another, it was from the heart and they understood the weight in the words they spoke. Their love was moving from the level of "just a feeling" or emotion to a choice and a commitment.
Meredith and Andy, thank you so much for letting us be with you on your wedding day! The ceremony was heartfelt, the reception was a blast and we wish the best to you both! Much love! |
| When Brent and I photographed Meredith's bridal session, she mentioned how much she loved the touch of sparkle in her dress from a broach on her dress. I loved it too and had to snap a shot of it! |

I just returned from the most fabulous preview trip ever! Each year before Love Affair Workshop the four of us (Lauren, Kelly, Davina, & I) travel to our selected location to preview the site, do some planning and a whole lot of chatting. Although the four of us have not been together in one spot since last July we picked up right where we left off. Thats the thing about amazing friendships... months apart seems like no time has passed at all and being together again is refreshing.
I think you'll agree once you find out where we will be for our September 2010 workshop that this is the RIGHT spot for us. All of our planning was seemless, and everything fell right into place. It was just meant to be!
You know we are going to make you play the guessing game again to figure out exactly where we will be so here comes clue #1 and clue to follow will be posted on the Love Affair Blog so be sure to keep an eye out there for more information!
We have released the dates for this year's workshop, so mark your calenders for September 14th-16th. Of course you'll want to plan to arrive a day early for our welcome social and fly out on Friday, so just go ahead and block the 13th through the 17th to be sure you don't miss a thing!
