Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? I know what you are thinking, "HOLY COW, Millie finally decided to blog again!" Contrary to popular belief I have not fallen into a black hole although at some times this week that would have looked like a promising option. ;)
I have actually been hunkered down at my desk working on our MHP Photographer's websites which will launch very soon! Just last week we had an awesome staff meeting where our entire team gathered to meet, brainstorm, enjoy lunch, fellowship, shoot, and get some rockin' team photos. I am soooo stoked about where MHP is going in 2009. I know that God has been faithful to carry us through thus far and He has given me some awesome vision for next year already. I have truly never been this amped about my business before!
We have a new addition to our team which I am excited to announce very soon along with some changes that will be taking place over the next week. I'll be blogging weddings again soon as we have been really rolling through our summer weddings this month to get everything online. Our next rush of weddings starts back up in mid-September. We have some sweet weddings to blog and some crazy cool weddings in months to come so say tuned, I can't wait to get back to shooting!
Now that I have stared at the sites until my eyes hurt and have them almost ready to launch I can take a little break but not for long. There is lots to do around here including wrapping up our "Get it Together Kit" and preparing to speak at PartnerCon Los Angeles in just a few weeks!

| Meet Emma. OK, tell me she's not gorgeous. I dare ya! Emma is the newest addition to our family. She's 10 weeks old, about 4 pounds and is an absolute drama queen! Here she is crouching under my coffee table about to chew at our rug. The little booger! How can you say no to this face? |
I can't tell you how many breeders we visited before finding Emma. I knew she was out there somewhere for us. When I saw her for the first time, I leaned over to Andrew and said "that's the one". I fell in love!
Raising a baby puppy is harder than everyone says! Andrew and I have had absolutely no sleep since we picked her up a few days ago. It doesn't matter though. I'm so smitten with this baby girl. :) |

Once a month I head into Raleigh to lead our PUG (Pictage User Group). This group consists of lots of photographers using Pictage for online viewing and prints. We get together to share information, talk shop, encourage one another and just have fun. Earlier this week Michael & Anna Coast joined us from Santa Barbabra, CA. They are doing a PUG tour and they were able to share a lot of valuable information with our group. If you are a photographer in Raleigh or the surrounding area, you should come out and join us for our monthly meetings. Our next meeting will be in October (we are skipping September) since we just finished up our August meeting a little late in the month due to the tour dates.

ALL of our photographers and staff are in town today and tomorrow for staff meetings and training. We are looking for a loving and fun family to model for all of us tomorrow (Thursday) while I do some training on photographing a family. We realize this is a last minute so if one parent has to work, we are cool with Mom and kids or vice versa. Just let us know who can make it when you write in!
We need you from 12(noon) - 2pm. Please send an email to info@millieholloman.com with a photo if you would like to volunteer (we'll email you back to let you know if you will be the lucky participant.) We will be waiving the $500 session fee, all images will be edited and presented online once complete! |

| This morning when I walked into the studio Elizabeth was sitting up in the Bumbo right by all of the office equipment, just hanging out! I thought it was so funny, I immediately grabbed my camera and started snapping. It has been quite a while since you have seen Elizabeth (our studio manager's baby) so here she is... complete with her new little outfit and her first pair of converse which Aunt Lisa picked up for her on their little shopping spree yesterday. Look how quick she is growing! |
