Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? Come on in and look around.

We want you to get the most out of your time here, so here are a few helpful tips: Check out the text block above that says: “photographers”. Use it to get to know just one photographer better by sorting just their images, twitter updates or bio. Wondering who shot what? Look for the signature on the bottom left of each photograph. 06.30.10 ~ Weddings ~ posted by Rachel

When you were young, did you ever dream of having your wedding in your parents' backyard? I know I did! It's that perfect childhood fantasy to be somewhere so comfortable, surrounded by the people you love while you say your "I Do's" to the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. Georgia must have had that dream as well, and the fact that her backyard is overlooking the most spectacular mountainside in Brevard, North Carolina, makes this dream a pretty amazing one!

When I arrived, this beautiful bride was just moments from slipping into her dress with a little help from her sister and mother. That amazing dress is made of linen and vintage lace. Ah-mazing.

Just around the corner in their parents' kitchen, the cake was getting its final touches.

Georgia and Josh wanted to see each other before the wedding, so we arranged for them to meet up on their spectacular balcony. Can you imagine growing up in a place like this? What a wonderful life!

Georgia specifically requested a shot with their father's tractor. I love it when images are personal!

Everything at the house was left alone, except for the addition of the tent in the side yard. This image really spoke to me because it's a beautiful timeline of all the hard work that has gone into this property to make it their home.

The ceremony took place a few yards from their house in a field that had a hole cut into it to place the seating inside. Conventional means of transportation just didn't cut it, so guests arrived in these mules. By the way, I had no idea what a mule was until I arrived that day. So fun!

That dramatic sky made for some gorgeous images at the ceremony. It also cooled everyone off a little bit during this abnormally warm summer.

Georgia's father made the cross that stood at the altar.

Congratulations to the happy couple!!!

Back at Georgia's house, the reception was set up beautifully.

A huge thanks to Renee', our former intern, for grabbing some of these detail shots.

I can't tell you what Georgia and Josh were saying at this moment, but I hope it was something like "you'd better not get cake all over my face!".

The band was flown in from Atlanta, where Georgia and Josh live now. They were high energy and so talented!

Near the end of the night, the lead singer changed costumes and sang "Billy Jean". He was such an entertainer and the crowd LOVED him and his dance moves!

Meet Georgia's grandmother. She is 91 years old and had the time of her life! I love moments like this. It makes me feel honored all over again to be invited into the lives of a family during such an important day.

Georgia and Josh, you have been so wonderful and gracious! I had a fantastic time working with you and wish you the absolute best in your marriage! Congratulations!!!!
