Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? Come on in and look around.

We want you to get the most out of your time here, so here are a few helpful tips: Check out the text block above that says: “photographers”. Use it to get to know just one photographer better by sorting just their images, twitter updates or bio. Wondering who shot what? Look for the signature on the bottom left of each photograph. Looking for something specific? Type the topic or a keyword into the search bar above for related results.

anna + jere

06.05.08 ~ Weddings ~ posted by Rachel

Anna and Jere are the sweetest couple! They were married May 16th on Bald Head Island at The Village Chapel and held their reception in one of the beautiful beach front properties on the island. We were all a little nervous that the rain would keep us inside. But when it was time to start, the rain cleared, the sun peaked through and it quickly became a gorgeous day!

Anna and her father just minutes before the ceremony began.

The ceremony was intimate and moving. I think halfway through, the flower girl and ring bearer had had enough standing in one spot and decided to play . . . so cute!!!!!

First shot of the newly married couple!

Details by the lovely Jennifer, of Salt Harbor Designs...

Tip #74: When the little ones won't smile, just tickle them!

A quick shot of a family heirloom, which also served as Anna's "something blue".

This was Jere's idea. We took some images near the lighthouse and had to pay to get in, so he thought we should get the most out of his dollar. :)

The details were simple, elegant , and just perfect for the beach!

I love this ring shot! The yellow is actually an old ship's wheel hung on the wall as a decoration in the rental home where the reception took place.

I think our poor little ring bearer had a bit too much excitement for one day. He slept away about half of the reception in the MIDDLE of the reception area. Can someone tell me, please, how kids do that?!

The toasts:

Just before we wrapped up the evening, we thought it would be a great idea to get a few more intimate shots of the couple. One thing I adore about Anna and Jere are that they are willing to do pretty much anything for a great shot - EVEN ride piggy-back in a designer wedding gown. Anna, you're amazing!

Much love and congratulations to you, Anna and Jere! I wish you all the best in your new adventure together!
