Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? Come on in and look around.

We want you to get the most out of your time here, so here are a few helpful tips: Check out the text block above that says: “photographers”. Use it to get to know just one photographer better by sorting just their images, twitter updates or bio. Wondering who shot what? Look for the signature on the bottom left of each photograph. Looking for something specific? Type the topic or a keyword into the search bar above for related results.

courtney + andrew + baby on the way . wilmington, nc

12.09.09 ~ Kids & Family ~ posted by Millie

When Andrew & Courtney asked me if I would do their maternity session I was super excited to get to work with them. I've known Andrew and his wife for several years, he is a photographer in Raleigh, NC. Courtney is expecting their first child in December. This little bundle of joy is actually due right around Christmas and it's sure to be the best present they've ever received.

When we started chatting about the session Andrew told me they wanted something a little more "urban" because they were not the "old rusted barn" type people. Immediately my wheels started turning and thanks to one of our most awesome couples for next year we were able to secure their red vespa for the shoot.

Typically shooting for other photographers is pretty nerve racking but these two made it easy. They were so relaxed and trusting just following my crazy lead while putted around downtown on a vespa to find just the right spots! (I'm not gonna lie, driving that red vespa around was a blast and I SOOOO want one now!)

I love how happy they both look together in this shot and the vespa of course!

This might be my favorite shot of the day... just look at how that beautiful light is pouring in!

I love Courtney's choice of outfit too... so stylish yet so cute for maternity too!

When I said these two were troopers, I meant it. When I asked them to go sit on these people's front steps while I hid behind the hedge of bushes... they totally did it!

and then we made use of the front yard a little..

and the hedges...

One last little adventure to use this fun gate I spotted accompanied by my title shift lens... LOVE x2! I would totally canvas these to hang side by side in my home!

Andrew & Courtney - Congratulations to you both! I know you are going to make fabulous parents and I can't wait to see your little one!
